Terms of use — Ione Basmah
By using Ione Basmah or registering your business on it, you accept these terms on behalf of the business. The service is offered to businesses only, to manage their employees’ attendance; it is not for personal use.
Last updated: October 2026
Accounts and roles
The business owner is responsible for the accuracy of the business and employee data, for the manager accounts they create and their permissions, for informing employees that their attendance is recorded through the service and what data it collects, and for complying with the Labour Law and the Personal Data Protection Law.
Every account is personal and may not be shared. Users must protect their phone and sign-in details and tell us immediately about any unauthorised use.
Subscription and payment
- A business starts with a free trial (14 days and up to 10 accounts besides the owner, by default) without any payment.
- The price is per active account per month, plus 15% VAT. A subscription runs for 1 month without commitment, 3 months or 12 months, the longer ones at a discount on the monthly price. The 1-month and 3-month periods are available during the first 3 paid months only; after that the subscription and its renewals are annual.
- Every active employee or manager holds a seat, one person counts once, and the business owner holds none. The number of paid accounts cannot be exceeded, and deactivating an account frees its seat without a refund.
- In-app purchases are made through Apple or Google and governed by their terms; renewal, cancellation and refunds are managed in the store settings. If the store renews a monthly or quarterly subscription after the first 3 months, the business owner is asked to move to the annual plan.
- Payments outside the app go through an approved payment gateway or instalment services. Card renewals are automatic and can be stopped at any time; after the first 3 months a monthly or quarterly subscription renews for a year, with a notice stating the amount 7 days before the renewal. Instalment plans are renewed by hand, with a reminder 7 days before the period ends.
- If a renewal fails, the system keeps working for a 7-day grace period; punching then stops and the admin mode becomes read-only (with exports) until the subscription is renewed.
- Price changes apply to new subscriptions and renewals only.
Cancellation and deletion
Renewal can be stopped at any time; the paid period stays valid until it ends, without a refund for the remaining days except as required by law or by the store’s policy. After a cancelled subscription ends, the data is kept for 90 days, during which it can be exported; personal data is then permanently deleted after notifying the business owner.
Platform administration rights
The business agrees that the platform’s authorised administration team has full control over the business’s data without asking for prior permission: viewing and modifying it, adjusting the subscription (extending it, suspending it or adding free accounts) and entering the business as its owner, for operation, support, security and compliance. Every action is recorded in an internal audit log, and changes appear in the business’s audit log as “Platform administration”. No one deletes original punches — not even the platform administration.
Attendance records and violations
- The server’s time is authoritative. An original punch is never deleted or modified; every correction is recorded as a new punch linked to the request that approved it.
- The default penalty table is based on the official table and must be reviewed by the business; violations and deductions apply only after the business owner confirms that the table matches its approved work regulations.
- The business alone is responsible for the lawfulness of its regulations, decisions and penalties. The service is a tool that helps apply the procedure and the legal limits; it is not legal advice.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- Tamper with punching, or use fake locations or modified devices to get around the checks.
- Try to reach another business’s data, disrupt the service or probe it for vulnerabilities without written permission.
- Copy, reverse-engineer or resell the app, or use the service for unlawful monitoring.
Privacy
The processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms. The business is the controller of its employees’ data, and we process it on its behalf.
Availability and liability
We make reasonable efforts to keep the service available; it may be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control. The service is provided “as is”; we are not liable for indirect damages, and our liability is in all cases limited to the amounts paid for the three months before the claim, unless the law provides otherwise.
We may suspend any account that breaches these terms or the law, notifying the business owner where possible.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the competent courts in Riyadh have jurisdiction over any dispute. We may change the terms and will inform business owners of material changes before they take effect; continuing to use the service afterwards means accepting them.
